Children and Families Community Worker

  • 20 hours per week – Monday to Friday between the hours of 8am-6pm (flexible to meet the demand of the job)
  • Maternity cover – 12-month contract
  • All year round
  • £25,000 – £28.200 dependent of experience FTE based on 37.5 hours (pro rata £13,333 – £15,040)

The Sunshine Centre is looking for an experienced Children and Families Community Worker to work within the Family Support Team.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • Knowledge of the roles and responsibilities of statutory and voluntary services and experience of liaising with them.
  • Experience of working with people in their homes and creating a plan of support.
  • A commitment to equal opportunities and an understanding of the impact of deprivation and discrimination on communities, families and individuals.
  • Providing practical & emotional support to families
