Lunchtime Supervisor

Term Time – 38 weeks per year
£12.71 per hour

The Sunshine Centre Childcare is looking for a reliable and caring Lunchtime Supervisor to support our childcare team during the busy lunchtime period.

This is a lovely opportunity for someone who enjoys working with young children and wants to play an important role in helping them feel safe, settled and supported during their lunchtime routine.

About the role

You will support the childcare team by helping to set up and clear away the lunch area, assisting children during lunch, encouraging positive mealtime behaviour, and helping to maintain a safe, clean and caring environment.

You will also help supervise children, follow safeguarding and health and safety procedures, and work closely with the team to support children’s wellbeing.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Enjoys working with children
  • Is reliable, punctual and flexible
  • Has a caring, patient and professional approach
  • Can work well as part of a team
  • Understands the importance of safeguarding, confidentiality and health and safety
  • Is willing to follow routines, policies and procedures

Experience of working with children aged birth to five years and a food hygiene certificate would be desirable, but they are not essential.
